last night avery played in the "all city band concert" at lloyd noble center. he was one of maybe a thousand students in the 6th through 12th grades. there was also a jazz band which seemed to be a mixture of 11th & 12th graders.
it was a lot of fun to see all the talented students showing off their stuff. it is amazing to hear the difference between the 6th grade newbies and the 11th & 12th grade old hats.
tobin infiltrated the floor where everyone was setting up. avery was surprised to see him and looks like he is giving tobin a disapproving look...like, "da-ad, you aren't supposed to be down here!"
everyone setting up...percussionists must get miffed at those with small instruments...like the girls that pull their flutes out of their purses.
