i thought i would do a week of throw back pics just to mix it up a bit.
we LOVE halloween, all of us. avery will wear his costume to school tomorrow. the last of the details will be applied tonight. we have always enjoyed making our costumes. i am not much of a seamstress, so when he was little i made almost all of his costumes with a sweatshirt and sweatpants as the base. this always seemed to work out well...the material is forgiving and warm. above, as you can see, he was an alligator. he doesn't trick or treat these days, but still gathers with his friends, dressed up.

julian saw the pic this morning and asked who that was..funny to think of that time. seems like such a different part of our lives...definitely a different chapter, the one without jules. i remember that year, pretty sure mia was a goblin that year from little bear. nobody knew what she was, but she didn't care cause she did. full of lots of emotion this time of year...miss you lots!
i have a lot of pics of mia and avery together at halloween...different years. i think she was a pink dragon...maybe from that dragon show on pbs?? i do remember the goblin costume, though.
