so the weekend i have had circled and highlighted on the calendar, talked about, sweated over, looked forward to is upon me. mud, sweat, and tears! this is an adventure race that takes place in an urban setting along the arkansas river in tulsa, ok. go here to see what i will be doing.

i will be staying with mr. and mrs. shanks, two of my favorite people ever. can't wait to see their home and spend time with them. i see very little of them now that they live in t-town.

also living in t-town is mr. tankersly, of mr. and mrs. tankersly, also two of my favorite people ever. i will not see them, however, for i am sure they are very busy at a gig belting out tunes on the bag pipes and the accordion...the two are very talented. the pic above is of mr. tankersly in his (that's right, his) pub situated right in the back of his property. it is an amazing little speak easy, full of german/american/scottish memorabilia. wish me luck, folks, and a good time, of course!
