i thought i lived in oklahoma...where our winters usually consist of a handful of "wintry" days mixed in with a lot of unseasonably warm temperatures. i am not experiencing this, however.
we have, instead, experienced snow, snow, snow, ice...lots of it, and more snow.
this is our japanese snowball bush...looking very appropriate...
our snow dog, ripley. he loves the snow. he wants out in it and for a long time. we find him lounging in a drift, eating the snow, rolling in the snow, pulling icicles down from drooping branches. and...the snow covered fur!...a towel at the door to wipe paws just doesn't cut it with this mess!
avery is enjoying his 3rd snow day today. he has been out in it a bunch and is thankful for the sled we found in an old hardware store in my parents' tiny town.
i am starting to feel a little CRAZY and am feeling a bit over this exciting oklahoma weather. we managed to hold onto power...guess we paid some dues in 2007 (9 days of darkness!)...but our family in duncan did not fair so well. some of them are still without power and with these frigid temps and dreary skies they must truly feel CRAZY!
