i have a lot to blog, i guess...

while we were visiting my parents this past weekend, we made our way to wichita, ks to the infamous garden show.  it was ab fab!  there were booths of artesian goods, plants, food, but the best parts were the several "gardens" that were set up within the building.  these landscape businesses went full throttle!  it was as if you were walking through some wonderful back yard oasis with each garden.

this one featured up turned trees, roots exposed and often held flowering plants.  the root beauty was amazing.  of course this would only last so long in mother nature, but for the show....wow!

this garden was the first we ventured into.  it was lovely!  just a taste of what was to come.

how fun! this tree guy was wonderful.  he created an arch through one of the gardens.

dragons are a fave of ave...nice rhyme! i cannot believe the work that went into this 5 day show.

at the beginning of one of the gardens there was a chicken coop made of 5-6 old screen doors.  the shape was kinda like a stop sign with halved logs as supporting and separating beams.  it was amazing and beautiful.
