our budding engineer

avery, like his father, loves to tinker and build things.  he is very gifted in this area, unlike myself.

in science, they have been working on a lot of projects.  the project for this week was to build a circuit board.  his circuit board involves types of cats and their coloring.  on one side he has a list of cat breeds and on the other side a list of colorings.  say if you choose "russian blue", by connecting pinchers to the metal next to the name and you guess that the coloring of said cat is "blue gray" and attach pinchers to the metal next to that, a light bulb lights up.  

there was a lot of wiring, drilling, and thought that went into this and he did it all, except cutting the wood pieces for the box...table saw and eleven year old boy...yikes!

so, off he rode to school today with his project complete, secured on his xtra cycle, and with an incredible vibe of pride.
